Eucalyptus - acts as the driver so the medicine
can absorb quickly. Once the medicine is absorbed the bees wax creates
a water repellent covering. Euculytus is also wonderful anti
fungal and antibacterial oil making it excellent for fungal based
skin conditions.
Camphor - is an anti inflammatory and anti fungal
oil. Along with treating the skin camphor takes away swelling and
bruising from the area.
Wintergreen - is an excellent pain reliever
and anti inflammatory. Its main function is to relieve the pain making
the horse comfortable and relaxed. This has to be part of treating any
condition.
Pine Tar - Is the main and worldliest recognized
anti fungal agent in this recipe. It‘s strength appears to be more enhanced
when it is combined with all the other ingredients in the formula.
Bees Wax - covers the area and creates a waxy
water repellent breathable band aid. The water and moisture is forced to
bead of the horse which helps the horse heal. Water and moisture creates
much of the problem in the first place. Today silicones are used to make
products water repellent, however the wound cannot breathe and the fungus
grows under the silicone rather than killing it. Water and moisture
feed the fungus. As well bees wax is a very rich and highly regarded natural
anti biotic property, this supports the over all health of the condition.
Menthol Crystals - Menthol is a compound obtained
from peppermint oil. The anti-fungal and antibacterial action of Menthol
has been studied extensively. Menthol's ability to trigger the cold-sensitive
receptors in the skin is responsible for the well known cooling sensation
that it generates.
Thymol Crystals - naturally occur in many essential
oils such as Thyme essential oil. Thymol has powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial
